Chrysler : Penghargaan Yang Tak Kena Pada Tempatnya.. Hehe..

Salamm semua..

Korang masih ingat lagi dengan ‘Chrysler’, salah satu gergasi pengeluar kenderaan automotif milik Amerika. Disebabkan kegawatan ekonomi global sekarang ni, mereka akhirnya terpaksa akur dan merayu bantuan suntikan modal rangsangan (bail-out) dari kerajaan US dan rakyatnya sebanyak $4 billion untuk menyelamatkan syarikat dari bankrap. So, US di bawah Presiden Bush yang berlagak pandai itu pun bersetuju meluluskan permohonan diorang tu. Dapat la dah duit $4 billion tu. Dengan duit sebanyak tu ia membawa amanat rakyat Amerika agar Chrysler dapat menggunakannya sebaik mungkin untuk memulihkan syarikat dan kepercayaan rakyat Amerika kepada mereka.

Tapi, sebaliknya pulak, apa langkah pertama yang Chrysler buat selepas dapat suntikan modal tu?

Chrysler dengan bangganya telah membeli ruangan iklan sebesar satu mukasurat penuh di akhbar-akhbar arus perdana Amerika seperti Wall Street Journal (WSA) dan USA Today kononnya untuk mengucapkan TERIMA KASIH pada rakyat Amerika! Kalau la aku ni salah sorang dari rakyat Amerika, memang aku seranah diorang kat Chrysler ni cukup-cukup sebab buat kerja bodoh macam ni. Kenapa? Sebab, cuba korang bayangkan, diorang dah membazir sekitar $206,000 - $264,000 untuk kos iklan di WSJ dan $112,000 to $217,000 untuk kos iklan satu muka penuh di USA Today. Dan semestinyalah duit untuk bayar kos pengiklanan tu diorang ambik dari dana bantuan berjumlah $4 billion yang dah diberi oleh kerajaan diorang, yang mana hasilnya datang dari duit rakyat Amerika yang bayar cukai setiap tahun! So, senang-senang dari $4 billion kini dah tinggal lebih kurang $3.5 billion je akibat buat kerja bodoh camtu. Walhal, sepatutnya duit sebanyak itu boleh digunakan untuk perkara lain yang lebih berfaedah selain iklan!


Ini la iklan kontroversi dari Chrysler yang telah menimbulkan rasa bengang di hati rakyat Amerika. Nak ucap terima kasih tapi last2 kena maki tak pasal-pasal! Wakakaka.. :D

Dan, akibat dari tindakan bodoh diorang ni, mereka telah dimaki oleh rakyat Amerika sendiri di blog Chrysler, yang mana rata-rata mereka yang menulis menyatakan rasa bengang, marah, kesal, sakit hati, menyampah dan yang sewaktu dengannya kepada Chrysler dan CEOnya, Bob Nardelli akibat tindakan diorang tu. Kalau tak caya, cuba korang baca sebahagian komen-komen sumpah seranah diorang yang sempat aku petik dari laman blog Chrysler. Memang ‘bernanah’ la Chrysler bila baca komen-komen ni. Hehehe... :

Mr Nardelli, Fire your PR and advertising teams and execs immediately. We the People did not want to see any more ads and money wasted on ads, be it from Chrysler, et al, or from your own pocket. You should have put up a website thanking the people and just submitted it to various online news aggregators for free. Once again, I am pained to see you are demonstrating a lack of common sense and fiscal responsibility. We supported the bailout of the car companies, even in the face of the horrendously mismanaged and secretive bailout of banks, and you stlil throw money away in the name of your company. Time to wake up. Sincerely, Matt and the rest of the Internet.

have to say this ad disappointed me. First of all, do you need to spend your precious dollars on expenisve newspaper space? Second of all, it's hard to say "America" is really responsible for granting the bridge loans. One survey said that 61% of Americans were against it. Congress was working against the will of the voters. Let me go through each of the three points: "Providing cars and trucks you want to buy, enjoy driving, and will want to buy again." Well, I wanted to buy a Stratus in 2004. I bought it and enjoy driving it. However, I would not buy a Chrysler again beacuse the new products are lower quality and less visually appealing than their predecessors. "Delivering products with the best quality and value in our Company's history." Based on what I've seen and heard, Chrysler vehicle quality is lower than it was a few years ago. "Improving fuel economy to support Americas energy security and environmental sustainability." Chrysler's current full-size and compact vehicles are LESS fuel efficient than they were in 2003. Chrysler built the cars of my dreams in the 1990s but the latest models are a real let down. Chrysler does not deserve aid until it can present compelling new-generation vehicles. Putting battery packs in the current models dosen't count.

Bob Nardelli - thanking Americans for stealing their money is NOT something to boast about on your website. The American public DID speak when we choose to NOT buy your cars. Why not spend the money by showing us something compelling that people would "want" to buy. I have NEVER hear anyone excited about "buying a chrysler." You have no brand strength and this current "Thank You" ad will further your branding problems.

My response to being forced to bail Chrysler out was to immediately purchase a FORD Focus and I will NEVER buy any car that Chrysler has anything to do with. This ad you ran "thanking" us was an example of you wasting OUR money.

Obviously nothing has changed. Chrysler is still making stupid decisions by wasting its stolen taxpayer money on useless ads. I will never, ever even consider buying a Chrysler. Chrysler makes nothing but JUNK, and has rightfully earned its poor reputation. Mr. Nardelli, do yourself and Chrysler a favor and resign.

Thank You? Kiss mine you looters. I had ZERO choice in the matter. The money was taken from me by FORCE of GOVERNMENT and given to you. Ads like this reaffirm my decesion to buy a Honda last year. Bottom line Chrysler- I WILL NEVER BUY FROM A COMPANY THAT POINTS A GUN TO MY HEAD AND THEN SAYS THANKS. This ad infuraties me. Rot in hell scumbags.

What a great way to spend the taxpayer money!!! Spend hundreds of thousands if not a milliion to put full page ads in news papers all over the country. The NYT add alone cost over $200,000!!! I will never buy a Chrystler vehicle!! You guys suck!!! If I make mistakes in my finincal situation I have to fix them. You should bite the bullet and fix your own problems.

Bunch of scumbags...Nardopey and Cerberdolts can stick it...the VAST majority of the American public is against any sort of bailout for you or GM and yet you steal our money anyway...Are you and the other CEOs and investment bankers going to come bail me out when I lose my job?? Didn't think so...I'll NEVER buy a Chrysler or GM product--EVER--and either will any of my current or future family members I will make sure of it...

What a total waste of money. That useless ad money could have been put into research and development to make better quality and fuel efficient vehicles. This has got to be the most expensive thank you card ever written, providing better products would be just as sufficient.

Haaa.., apa pendapat korang bila baca komen-komen kat atas tu tadi? 'Nyamannn' sekali kan... Bagi aku, kalau diorang nak berterima kasih pun, tak payahla nak iklan besar-besar sangat. Cukupla dengan buat sidang akhbar ringkas yang menggunakan budget yang lebih kecil untuk menyampaikan hajat ‘suci murni’ diorang tu kepada rakyat ataupun kalau dah ‘terharu’ sangat sanpai takleh tahan keinginan nak buat iklan, iklankan je kat laman web diorang. Dalam keadaan gawat sekarang, memang rakyat akan sensitif dengan hal-hal membabitkan wang yang besar sebegini. So, kenalah berjimat ye tak! Tapi, biasalahh.. Yahudi dan US memang sentiasa bongkak tak kira masa susah senang pun. So, padanlah dengan muka diorang. Baru sekarang diorang tahu langit tinggi rendah. Maka, terpaksalah aku menjalankan kewajipan untuk menggelakkan diorang sekuat hati... Kah! Kah! Kah! :D
